  1. The figure is well done. It is apparent at first glance. I appreciate that you used different techniques for parts of her. The pattern you created in her hair is very nice and the tiling around the ear as well.

  2. I know you. Good job. I know what you want with this and I agree with your progress. love the process you took to get to this, very different from the way others went about with the ripping. Yours is very concrete and intentional to the point where the fit like puzzles versus the hair where it feels like it just fits like a puzzle within all the white space form you gave to allude the volume in the hair.
    My chest.

  3. I like how you used the different colored swatches to create shadows and lights like if it was a drawing with shading. I also like how you made some scratches on her face creating more shading. You also did really good with the F/G relationship on her hair.

  4. impressive use of scratching for shadow, very unique approach to your composition. I keep mentioning the gradient element in everyone's pieces but I really like that effect in her face.

  5. I LOVE the different ways you came up with texture here, like the scratches you made on some of the blocks. I believe this was a really clever approach to the assignment and theres a lot of fun things about it, like how theres a lot of body being alluded to in the hair and how stable and solid the figure is in comparison. Good job friend!!

  6. What is most successful is how I can distinguish the hair from your tiled figure. It sort of feels like a deconstruction of a human figure. I think your process is much more appreciated in person because I can barely see the texture you created by slightly tearing the gouache off the paper. Also, I agree with Cassandra.

  8. I have to agree with everyone, I think is well rendered and you're showing different techniques . My only concern is the rubber cement but we'll take care of the on Wed, that way you can take a better pic and post it again on the blog.
